RiverTrek Special Boxes

Picture
Thank you to everyone who contributed to RiverTrek 2025! We raised over $90,000 for the Apalachicola Riverkeeper, including over $6,000 from my supporters! All of the boxes have been spoken for, but you can still contribute by clicking here.

In late October 2025 I will be joining RiverTrek 2025 with a group of about 25 kayakers who will be paddling the entire 106 mile length of Florida's Apalachicola River, from Chattahoochee on the Georgia border to Apalachicola Bay. We will be raising funds and awareness in support of the Apalachicola Riverkeeper (AR).  The trip will take 5 days. We will be camping along the way.

I first became aware the town of Apalachicola , along with the river and bay of the same name, several years ago when I built my sea kayak at the Apalachicola Maritime Museum's Wooden Boat School. Since then I have followed the AR's efforts to protect and preserve the Apalachicola River System. I participated in RiverTrek 2021 four years ago. I will be happy to make another significant contribution to their efforts! Rivertrek is their largest annual source of income, this year's goal is $75,000. I am trying to raise $5000 of this, and I'm going to ask for your help.

I have made 25 boxes for this event. All of the proceeds from the sale of these boxes will go to support the Apalachicola RiverKeeper. The boxes are in 5 sizes as follows (click on any line to jump to those boxes):
  • BX-04, 7" x 5" x 1.75", Cuban Mahogany, $125 contribution (14)
  • BX-05, 8" x 5.5" x 2.75", Lysiloma Wood, $185 (6)
  • BX-08, 10" x 6.5" x 2.75", Curly Madrone, $240 (3) (All Sold, Thank You!)
  • BX-18, 15" x 9" x 4", with two drawers and two lift-out trays, $620 (1)
  • BX-20, 15" x 9" x 6", with two drawers and six lift-out trays, $1050 (1)

If you would like to support RiverTrek by purchasing one of these boxes, just follow this link to the Rivertrek page, then scroll down until you see my name and photo and click on that. A larger photo and my bio will appear, with "Click here to support Ray!" Follow that link and fill out the contribution form, or you can click here to go directly to the form. Standard continental USA shipping is included in the listed prices. Enter the amount for the box you want, then contact me by phone or email to let me know which box you have selected.  Of course, you can contribute any amount you would like, even if you don't want a box.

         Thank you for your support!
